Sometimes we are unable to be there for you immediately because we are not an emergency service and don’t have a big enough team to cover 24/7.
So we have put together some emergency support contacts for if you need help immediately and we are unavailable or not the right place in an emergency.
Mental Health Urgent Advice:
Get advice from 111 or ask for an urgent GP appointment:
Get help from 111 online or call 111 and select the mental health option.
Immediate action required: Call 999 or go to A&E now if:
- someone’s life is at risk – for example, they have seriously injured themselves or taken an overdose
- you do not feel you can keep yourself or someone else safe

Physical Health Urgent Advice:
Get advice from 111 or ask for an urgent GP appointment:
Get help from 111 online or call 111 if you are experiencing pain that is severe, new to you and is not responding to your OTC medication.
Immediate action required: Call 999 or go to A&E now if:
- someone’s life is at risk – If you or the person you are caring for are experiencing
- chest pain.
- difficulty in breathing.
- unconsciousness.
- severe loss of blood.
- severe burns or scalds.
- choking.
- fitting or concussion

A mental health emergency should be taken as seriously as a physical one. You will not be wasting anyone’s time.
