Moving Towards Health

Day: Mondays 14.00 – 15.30 Course of 8 starting on 19th July Cost : £80 for the course Instructor: Paul Harrington, Osteopath

The Moving Towards Health classes are designed to build the skills that we need, to give ourselves choices about how our personal health and well-being unfolds into the future. We will explore how developing better self-awareness, through movement allows us to intentionally shape the nervous system and body to be more flexible, adaptable and resilient.

The classes are for anyone that feels that they need some support to discover a better balance of body and mind, and to build an internal reference point of safety.

In the classes we will use a wide range of exercises, games and practices as a way of exploring ourselves. So there might be elements of yoga, pilates, dance, meditation, theatre games, self-reflection, sharing and discussion. The classes are easy, relaxed and open to all.

The classes can be used as a resource and a support in many ways. They might be of interest if you want to:

  • Learn to move your body more
  • Understand yourself better
  • Feel more balanced
  • Meet people and make friends
  • Move with more ease
  • Play again
  • Connect with other people
  • Dance a bit
  • Calm down a little
  • Enjoy having a body

Improve Your Mobility – Gentle Movement Class

Day: Mondays Weekly at 16.00 – 17.00 Cost : £10 per session
Instructor: Paul Harrington, Osteopath

This is a gentle movement class for all ages and abilities. It focuses on helping you get moving and how to move for your body and its specific needs.

Wellbeing For All

Day: Tuesdays Fortnightly at 12.30 – 13.30 Cost : £10 per session
Instructor: Siân Willett

Wellbeing For All – relaxation for mind and body has been created to promote wellbeing within the local community. Throughout these sessions we will cover mindfulness, meditation, gentle movements, yoga and breathing exercises. Sian aims to provide a toolkit of practical exercises to promote positive mental health and wellbeing.

Siân is a certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher and Meditation Teacher. She regularly host health and wellness events and spiritual workshops to help people live healthier, happier lives through meditation, mindfulness and yoga. She has recently had the privileged of working with the NHS delivering meditation sessions to support the nurses at Brighton Hospital.
